Ohio Ramblings

I’m back in Columbus Ohio, finishing up my third and final week on site at my new job/new project.  I’ll be honest, I can’t wait to get home.  I’ve only been home for 1.5-2 days a week, for the last few weeks, and that’s sandwiched in between all day travel on both ends, and massive jet lag.  It’s not the same as really being home.  I’m ready to go home.

I lost/had stolen my favorite sunglasses in the Phoenix airport on the way here.  I’ve had them forever and they weren’t cheap, so that was frustrating.  I feel like a I need a vacation.  I’ve only been with my new job for less than a month, but I haven’t had more than a 3-day weekend since last October.  I don’t know when I’ll be able to take one, but it will need to be sooner rather than later.

I read the Four Hour Workweek.  I actually liked it a lot.  Not all of it is applicable to what I do for work, but some certainly is, and it’s given me some ideas about scaling automated income.  I would recommend reading it if you run or want to run your own business.  It’s not gospel, but it’s fun to read and has some gems.

Traveling for work has shot my diet and workout plan.  I’m eating takeout and delivery, sitting way too much, etc…  Hopefully once I get home I can make up some lost ground.  Wish me luck.

I read the new Nicholas Christopher book Bestiary.   I love his writing, although this book didn’t seem to wrap up the way I had expected.  I’m going to read an older book by him, The Soloist, on the way home on Thursday.  And then I’ll probably snag the new Harry Potter book.  I’m a sucker for those things.

I still love my iPhone.

Off to bed.
